Organizers of TEDxMansfield announce the speakers for the local TEDx event themed Metamorphosis. Tickets are now available for purchase through The Renaissance Theatre box office. The independently produced event, operated under license from TED, will be held at The Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield, Ohio on November 3rd.
The TEDxMansfield curation team is pleased to announce the following speakers have been selected for Mansfield’s inaugural TEDx conference:
Terri Teal Bucci, Associate Professor of Mathematics, The Ohio State University
Sophia Buggs, Urban Farming Advocate, Lady Buggs Farm
Kristoffer “KC” Carter, Executive Coach, Kristoffer Carter LLC
Aurelio Villa Luna Diaz, Community Development Coordinator, Downtown Mansfield, Inc.
Collier Landry, Filmmaker & CInematographer, Collier Landry Productions
Philip Mazzocco, Associate Professor of Psychology, The Ohio State University
The TEDxMansfield team received over fifty applications from people all over the world including 4 countries, and nearly a dozen states. Speakers were vetted by a diverse team of local volunteers and selected based on stringent criteria in keeping with the parameters set forth by the TED organization. Each of the speaker’s talks will explore a different idea worth spreading and fitting the theme Metamorphosis.
According to TEDxMansfield licensee and organizer Tracy Graziani, “This was an arduous task, and one we didn’t take lightly. While it was difficult to select just six speakers, we are excited to showcase their ideas on a world stage from right here, in Mansfield, Ohio. Prepare to be blown away, we already are.”
Tickets for the event are expected to sell out and are available on a first come, first served basis, with two tiers of ticketing available. Section A tickets, $75, include preferred seating at the conference, as well as tickets to a “meet and greet” after-party with the speakers immediately following the conference. General Admission tickets, $50, include general seating, and admission to the conference.
